SIDO - MTV UNPLUGGED
Unsere zweite Zusammenarbeit mit SIDO. Diesmal war das Thema MTV Unplugged. Für diesen besonderen Moment suchen sich Künstler und Bands meistens einen 'besonderen' Ort an dem das Konzert stattfindet. SIDO entschied sich zurück an den Ort seiner Jugend zu gehen. Ins Märkische Viertel, kurz MV. Wir entschieden uns aber dagegen mit Material aus diesem Konzert zu arbeiten. Vielmehr griffen wir das Thema 'Märkisches Viertel' als Ort und Aussage auf und gestalteten das Artwork als Addition zum Inhalt/Konzert. √		Our second collaboration with german rapper SIDO. This time he asked us if we can work on his MTV Unplugged album artwork. He performed the concert at Märkische Viertel. A Berlin suburb where he grew up and started making music. For the artwork we decided not to work with any material from the filmed concert. We didn't want to 'just' show what is inside, we wanted to add something more emotional that people can look at while listening to the album. √

EINLADUNG
Die Einladung zum MTV Unplugged Konzert von Sido. Eine Art Ritterschlag in der Musikbranche. So etwas muss gewürdigt werden. Also liessen wir eine Büste von SIDO herstellen. In Stein gemeisselt. Große Gesten sind im Hip Hop ja normal, wir warten noch auf eine Antwort auf diesen Aufschlag. Eingeladene Personen erhielten 2 mal Post. Zuerst nur eine Karte mit dem Bild der überdeckten Büste und dann eine mit der Büste und den Informationen. √		This is the invitation to the MTV Unplugged concert. Kind of an accolade for musicians. We thought this big moment needs a big gesture. We commissioned a sculptore to produce a bust of SIDO. Invited people received two invitations - first was just the image of the buried bust and second was the bust including the informations. √

FOTOGRAFIE
Die Bildebene unseres Konzepts haben wir in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Fotografen Stefan Vorbeck entwickelt. Wir haben ihn für 2 Tage ins MÄRKISCHE VIERTEL in Berlin geschickt, einer Hochhaussiedlung in der SIDO aufgewachsen ist. Jeder in Berlin kennt das 'Problem'-Viertel als 'hässliche' Ansammlung von Plattenbauten. Wir wollten mit der Fotografie ein ganz eigenes Gefühl transportieren. Das Gefühl der Einsamkeit – obwohl dort tausende von Menschen leben. --> HIER gibt es ein paar dieser Bilder zu sehen. MEIN BLOCK von SIDO, ein Song über das MV √		We commissioned photographer Stefan Vorbeck to spent two days searching, finding and shooting images at MÄRKISCHES VIERTEL - a well known suburb where SIDO grew up. There's a typical image society has in their mind when thinking about this part of the city. We wanted to capture the feeling of loneliness and emptiness in a spot where thousands of people living close together. --> HERE you can find some images we used for the artwork. SIDO got famous by releasing the song MEIN BLOCK. It's all about this suburb. √
